This website provides maps and data on the extent of fuel poverty in England, using the Fuel Poverty Indicator.

The Fuel Poverty Indicator (FPI) was produced by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and Townsend Centre for International Poverty Research at the University of Bristol.

Funding for the project came from the following organisations:
  • Department of Trade and Industry

  • Department of Health

  • Office for Gas and Electricity Markets

  • Eaga Partnership Charitable Trust

  • Energy Retail Association

You can find more information about the project's funders by going to Links.

You can find more information about the FPI research by going to Background.

Your attention is drawn to the Data health warning. This explains some of the limits of the maps due to the construction of the data sets.
